I LOVE (all caps) both Jane Austen AND New York City, so Emma of 83rd Street, a reboot of Emma set in modern day Manhattan, was pretty much made for me.
You know the drill: chemistry abounds when two lifelong friends discover that, in the search for love, you sometimes don’t have to look any further than your own backyard.
This charming, “compulsively readable” book has all the friends-to-lovers energy, slow burn tension, and NYC glamor a girl could want.
I did hybrid audiobook/regular book and both were fab.
