The Note by Alafair Burke

The Note is a twisty, fast-paced thriller about a girls’ weekend in the Hamptons gone terribly wrong.

It also “examines female friendship and the lingering impact of trauma after it has been amplified by social media.”

If you are already loading up your beach/pool bag for Memorial Day Weekend, I say put this mystery in.

I did hybrid regular book/audiobook, and preferred the regular book. There was something off about the audiobook narrator for me.

This book is for you if:

  • You aren’t afraid of a procedural with a few red herrings and plot twists.

  • You ever went to Aspen, Tanglewood or Interlochen.

  • You’ve ever had a frenemy.
