Three Days in June by Anne Tyler

Anne Tyler books are total comfort reads for me. Her 25th novel most definitely delivers in that department.

Three Days in June is the story of a socially awkward mother of the bride and how she navigates the days before and after her daughter's wedding.

The book explores themes of “family, fragility…and forgiveness” with Tyler’s trademark “clear-eyed but kindly approach to people moving through recognizable daily life.”

I could most certainly relate to Gail when she thinks “someday I’d like to get credit for not saying all the things I could have said.” (😉)

This book is for you if:

  • You are a fan of the Charm City.

  • You are looking for something to read that’s short and sweet.

  • You have a soft spot for chunky foster cats. 😻
